Is considered the leading university and the most active research institution in Cyprus. Powder Technology Laboratory is in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and its research activities are related to materials for energy and environmental applications. The main work in the PTLab concern the development and optimization of thermoelectric materials (i.e. silicides, half Heuslers etc) with potential application on energy systems and the recovery of “waste” energy. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure for the synthesis and full characterization of thermoelectric materials and modules. In THERMOCOOL project, PT Lab will mainly offer expertise on the synthesis, optimization and characterization of p-type half Heuslers.
