An SME, which is engaged in the field of materials characterization and test equipment development,

particularly for thermal problems. In recent years, much progress has been achieved here in steady state, transient thermal characterization and failure analysis using thermal imaging techniques. By support of its activities within the THERMOCOOL project, NANOTEST now aims to expand its characterization service and product pallets with thermoelectrical characterization methods and equipment at material, module, and system levels. THERMOCOOL will be a door opener for NANOTEST to new market sectors and will secure NANOTEST’s position in current sectors. The business model of NANOTEST, as B2B provider of innovative solutions for different industry sectors, is in line with the project goals in several aspects. NANOTEST portfolio in characterization equipment will be extend through THERMOCOOL by at least one new test system for simultaneous thermal and electrical characterization of different materials. Furthermore, NANOTEST will develop a demonstrator based on a thermal test vehicle to test the performance of thermoelectric for CPU cooling. This activity can be transferred for many other applications with huge market potential. One new job will be created by NANOTEST for to realize the project goals. By the end of project, NANOTEST will engage 2 further new employees.
