Linköping University

The laboratory of Organic Electronics is among the world leader of functional polymers and electronic and energy devices. The laboratory has successfully exploited research results by patenting and start-up companies. Within the last 20 years, about 20 companies have been created. We are thus planning to exploit the results of THERMOCOOL through birthing a next company focused on pyroelectric/piezoelectric generators for wearable electronics. The demonstrator obtained in THERMOCOOL will be essential to attract the interest of investors. The startup company will be placed in the House of Printed and Organic Electronics (HOPE), which is a unique business incubators supported by Norrköping Science Park (https://www.nosp.se/projekt/hope-home-oforganic-and-printed-electronics/) and partially funded by the EU. HOPE does not only support start-up companies with coaching but also provide them the first premisses and laboratory needed.
